Roe Deer are gentle, delicate beings. With wide open eyes and ears locked upright, they remain constantly alert, permanently scanning for potential threats. They are inherently aware of the dangers surrounding them, and rarely offer strangers their trust. With their almost silent motion, Roe Deer can go unnoticed when sneaking into gardens and quietly nibbling at the abundance of growing plants. But their presence is not entirely unknown, they leave evidence of their visit, making a mark before fading back into the wilderness. Words by Rachel Cunningham
